Last year I took a trip with a friend, to one country sliding into civil war and another that isn't allowed to exist. We crossed into Iraq from Turkey, over the internationally recognised border, moving from the fringes of Europe to the Middle East. But southern Turkey is a Kurdish area, and so is northern Iraq. Ask any Kurd and they'll say you've been in the same country all along; Kurdistan.....
I took my new Nikon D90 out for a little test. Nothing technical. I just wanted to get a feel for the camera's video feature and check out the quality through a 50mm f1.4 lens.

Whilst in Inverie on the Knoydart peninsular, Scotland, I spotted a guy from Remote Data Services installing satellite broadband with the help from the Scottish government's initiative to help isolated communities communicate with the outside world.
